LI-BIRD, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DoA) and MOLMAC Karnali organized one-day National Workshop on Pollination and Pollinators on 28 November, 2024. The workshop intended to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders and experts including federal and provincial government officials, development agencies, universities, beekeepers, among others, aiming to broaden the discourse on importance of pollination and pollinators in our agricultural systems for enhancing biodiversity and livelihoods. The workshop aimed at i) share the key achievements and learning of Darwin Pollination Project in Nepal in promoting pollination and pollinators; ii) share and collect feedback on Karnali Pollinator Strategy and; iii) set a multi-stakeholder and sectoral foundation for collective actions for scaling provincial strategy at an national level.
