Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara and Programme Coordination Office in Lalitpur. LI-BIRD is committed to capitalizing on local resources, innovations and institutions for the sustainable management of natural resources and building resilience to climate change for improving the livelihoods of target beneficiaries, which includes smallholder farmers, particularly women in Nepal.

LI-BIRD as an implementing partner and WHH as Financial Support implementing Multi-hazard Early Warning for Anticipatory Action (PRARAMBHA) project at Gurbhakot Municipality from January 2024 to October 2026. The project aims to pilot anticipatory action to save lives and livelihoods.

Under the PRARAMBHA project, LI-BIRD has planned to support Gurbhakot Municipality with Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Multi-Hazard Siren System. Thus, LI-BIRD invites all the eligible firms to submit the sealed technical and financial bid for undertaking the assignment. The detail specification and the process for submitting the bid is stated in the technical bid document. The deadline for submission of proposals is 6 August 2026 (Thursday) at 5:00 PM. The sealed bid documents shall be submitted through Courier Service/By Hand only to the address below:

Please note that the LI-BIRD Office have official holidays on Saturdays and Sundays. Interested applicants may submit any queries related to the bid documents via email to procurement@libird.org. Queries received over the weekend will be addressed during regular working days. All bids must be prepared and submitted in the English language. Bids received after the deadline shall not be accepted or considered for further evaluation.

LI-BIRD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the bids, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion and without assigning any reason whatsoever. The bid can be rejected and a contract terminated, if any corrupt practices are connected with the award or implementation of the contract. All the costs associated with preparing and submitting bid shall be borne solely by the companies.
