Meeta Sainju Pradhan holds a PhD (Social Demography, Sociology) from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. She comes from a strong multidisciplinary background with over 20 years of experience in designing and managing multi-sectoral development programmes in Nepal with a focus on gender equality and social inclusion. She has extensive and successful fund raising experiences with a variety of donors through programme development, and donor and other stakeholder networking in programmes related to forestry, health, watershed management, enterprise development, gender, good governance and institutional capacity building as cross cutting issues.

She also has experiences in strategic planning, thematic strategy development (organizational, gender and diversity, remote areas, health, etc.). She has experiences in managing (as a senior staff) and advising (as a Board Member) on human resource and financial management of programmes and organizations, working with and managing multi-disciplinary and diverse team, and social research on issues related to social change, community development, gender equality and social inclusion, migration, etc. leading to peer reviewed publications. She had worked in Makalu Barun National Park, UNICEF, Care International in Nepal (Program Development Coordinator and Project Coordinator), and as an Independent Researcher/Consultant.
