LI-BIRD is implementing a 4-year project from the fiscal year 2021/22 entitled “Strengthening Capacity of Small Holder Farmers for Resilient Livelihood (SAKSHAM)” with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland through Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM) Nepal in two district Kanchanpur and Doti districts of Sudurpaschim Province. The overall goal of the project is to improve livelihoods and well-being of marginal and climate-vulnerable smallholder farmers including people living in poverty, women, youths, returnee migrants, other ethnic minorities and disadvantaged groups. The project is expected to achieve two key results: a) to improve and diversify food and nutrition security and create income opportunities for target groups; b) to improve climate change adaptation and disaster risk management capacities of local governments, institutions and communities of the project implemented Municipalities.LI-BIRD conducted a baseline survey to establish benchmarks of the project results based on the indicators with realistic and refined targets according to the result frameworks of the project.
