Strategic Programme Lead (Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health)

Mr. Niranjan Pudasaini holds  Masters in Environmental Science, with  specialization in mountain environment from the Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He is currently serving as a Strategic Programme Lead (SPL) in LI-BIRD where he is responsible for coordinating the  “Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health” programme portfolio of the organization. In addition, he is leading the UNDP funded RERAS project.

Mr. Pudasaini holds over a decade long experience in program design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. His key areas of expertise include on-farm agro-biodiversity conservation and management; farmer-managed seed system development; value chain development of local and indigenous crops; climate smart agriculture practices and nature-based solutions; and integration of renewable energy into the farming systems.

He is proficient on conducting scientific research, baseline studies and action research; performing primary data analysis using various statistical tools; producing technical reports and knowledge products. Mr. Pudasaini is experienced of managing multi-partner research and development projects, leading multidisciplinary team and fostering collaborative relationships with government agencies.
