Dr. Bhatta holds a PhD in Forestry and MSc in Social Forestry from University of the Philippines, Philippines. He has 33 years of professional experience in the field of Forestry, Environment/Climate Change and Development. Besides, he has been closely working with development projects and civil societies since 1996. Moreover, his expertise includes Project Development/Design, Programme Monitoring and Evaluation, Strategy Development and Strategic Planning, and facilitation/moderation of workshops and meetings: he had carried out several short term and long term assignments related to these term aspects.
Recently he has completed preparation of Chure-Tarai Madhesh Conservation and Management Master Plan for Government of Nepal as the Team Leader. He has also been involved in developing Forestry Sector Strategy 2013-2022 for Government of Nepal, Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation.
