“Livestock, Livelihoods and Climate Change Interaction: A Collaborative Research In The Gandaki River Basin of Nepal” is a joint undertaking of Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD), Nepal and Arizona State University (ASU), USA.

Overarching goal of this project is to foster adaptive capacity of livestock keepers vulnerable to exposure driven by climate and other ongoing changes. This project will foster increased adaptive capacity by highlighting the society’s current skills, experience, strategic responses, and governance structure for adaptation planning at GRB.  It’s vision is to build the capacity of the communities to sustain their livelihoods in the face of climatic change by generating locally relevant knowledge, enhancing coping capacities, and improving the resilience of the crop-livestock systems to climate change through researches.
