Multi-hazard Early Warning for Anticipatory Action addressing lives and livelihoods.

Enhancing disaster risk resilience and protecting lives and livelihoods in the Goche Khola Watershed of Gurbhakot Municipality are the goals of the multi-hazard early warning system for anticipatory action addressing lives and livelihoods. This project’s main goal is to create a strong basis for anticipatory action by putting in place an effective end-to-end early warning system. To provide a quick and efficient response to floods and landslides, this approach will focus on the populations that are most at risk. It’s broader purpose is to address livelihood issues in the realm of early warning and disaster risk reduction (DRR). Agro-Metrological advisory services are prioritized in this pilot project in addition to EWS. With the goal of making the community robust and well-prepared for future climatic stress, extremes, and disasters, it seeks to identify and manage risks in the regions most vulnerable to hazard. The project’s overall goals are to protect lives and livelihoods in the area, promote sustainable development, and establish a model for anticipatory action projects.
