Gender Equity and Social Inclusion

Goal: To mainstream equity and inclusion of women and disadvantaged groups in our programmes and workforce.

In this strategy, we are paying special attention to the well-being and agency of women and individuals in disadvantaged groups (economically poor and socially discriminated). The benefits of our programmes must reach and address the needs of women and individuals of disadvantaged groups and we need to begin from our work place. We believe that increasing the number of women and ethnic professionals will add to the creativity, sensitivity and vitality of the team.

The Gender Equity and Social Inclusion cross-cutting theme will perform the following functions:

  • Facilitate gender and ethnic diversity in the workforce through affirmative action.
  • Build the capacity of staff and target groups to create inclusive environments for greater participation and benefit of women and disadvantaged groups.
