Project Coordinator -1 (to be based in SHIP Nepal’s Office at Simikot in Humla with frequent travel to field)

Self Help Initiative Promotion Centre (SHIP) Nepal is a non-profit makign, non-government organization (NGO) registered in 2008 at District Administration Office, Humla. It aims to improve food security and livelihoods of farming communities through the promotion of biodiversity-based ecological farming and building skills and capacity of farming families. 

SHIP Nepal in partnership with LI-BIRD (Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development) has been implementing the Livelihoods and Resilience Enhancement Programme (LREP) with funding support from The Development Fund, Norway. SHIP Nepal is responsible for the overall implementation of LREP activities in Humla district. The project aims to  improve food and nutrition security, income and resilience of small and marginal farm families in western terai and hills of Nepal.

Job Summary: The Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the effective planning, implementation, monitoring and quality control of project activities, providing technical guidance to the team, data management, report writing, communication, coordination and networking with cooperatives, government and private sector stakeholders.

Education and Experience: Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management or related fields with three years of work experience in project management.
