Request for Proposal (RfP) Notice

For Conducting Capacity Building Interventions on Agriculture Cooperatives and Farmer Groups in Watershed Area of Lake Cluster of Pokhara Valley (LCPV) and Produce Comprehensive Report on Progress after Providing Necessary Support to Strengthen their Internal Governance and Compliance. 

LI-BIRD, with funding support from Darwin Initiatives: Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), the UK, has been implementing the project entitled "Market-led Approach to Sustainable Management of Agrobiodiversity for Livelihood Outcomes” in watershed area of Lake Cluster of Pokhara Valley (LCPV). The project aims to support the smallholder farmers of Kaski district to achieve secured livelihoods, improved well-being, and healthy environment through the sustainable management and utilization of agrobiodiversity of the LCPV area by the end of the project. One of the major outputs of the project is to “increase income and employment opportunities to smallholder farmers through the production and sale of agricultural biodiversity-based products at local and regional markets”. To supplement this output, the project has been working to build capacity of farming communities/cooperatives to product safe and healthy foods. 

LI-BIRD invites all the eligible consultant/firms to submit the proposal for conducting capacity building interventions on 14 identified agriculture cooperatives and farmers groups in watershed area of Lake Cluster of Pokhara Valley (LCPV-DI) and produce comprehensive report on progress after providing necessary support to strengthen their internal governance and compliance. The bidders shall comply with all the details mentioned in Annex 2 while submitting the proposal:

Proposal must be written in English language. Proposal received after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation. 

Proposal that does not meet the requirements will be rejected. Proposal that meets the requirements and offer the best value for money will be selected.
